A slightly belated Happy New Year to all our fellow adventurers!
With 2020 well under way, we thought we’d take a little look back at 2019 and let you know what we’ve been up to.
Our abseil at the ArcelorMittal Orbit had a huge number of you conquering fears, pushing yourself to the limit, and enjoying the stunning views across London. We welcomed over 2500 brave abseilers last year, with many raising funds for great causes and others just looking for an adventurous day out!
We had over 40 charities come and abseil with us at the ArcelorMittal Orbit – raising over £400,000 for charity! Congratulations to all those who took part either as part of one of these groups or as an individual.
2019 was our first full year operating the iDrop at the BA i360 in Brighton. Our venture down on the south coast has also been a great success, with many of you giving up your weekend lie-in for one of our (very!) early starts! With 15 charities hosting fundraising events at this venue, we saw over £100,000 raised, and again, a huge well done to all those who took part.
Our continued work operating ‘Up at the O2’ saw a record-breaking year for the attraction. This guided climb over The O2 Arena, North Greenwich continues to draw in locals and tourists alike and we are so pleased to be involved with such a great experience. Let’s hope 2020 brings even more success!
As we look to this year – now that we have a permanent abseil platform installed – the abseil at the ArcelorMittal Orbit is open every month of the year for the first time. We’re looking forward to welcoming many more of you this year to experience this thrilling descent. The iDrop is also available across various dates from February this year and provides a great way of experiencing the Brighton seaside from a slightly different perspective! All available dates for both experiences are live on our website now.
We hope that in 2020 we’ll be able to launch some new urban aerial adventures for you to enjoy. We’ll be sure to keep you updated with any new announcements. So do keep an eye on our website or sign up to our mailing list if you haven’t already done so.
