Wire & Sky are recruiting for new climbing guides at The O2 Arena in London.
We are looking for part-time guides with the potential to lead to full time positions for the Summer season. Salary: £12ph (part time)
Main responsibilities would include:
Briefing and instructing climbers on how to stay safe, wear their equipment and what to do in an emergency.
Guide Roofwalk participants over the roof and provide interesting information along the way, relating to landmarks, history and statistics.
Keep your climbers safe and ensure they have a fantastic experience.
Be prepared to conduct rescues, administer first aid & evacuate the Roofwalk if an emergency situation arises.
Undertake training in First Aid, Rescues at Heights, Disabled Access & Communications Procedures amongst others subjects.
Key skills required/desired:
- Interest in the outdoors and adventure activities
- Outgoing and personable
- Technical qualifications desired such as SPA, ML and IRATA
Timings:
27th Feb 15 – Interviews
16th to 27th Mar 15 – Guide Training Course (2 weeks Mon-Fri)
